   The Apple iPhone is the most beautiful gadget I have ever owned. It is a pleasure to use, so easy, so pretty, you gotta love it. It is sleek, sexy and simply lovely on eye. Worth every penny in my book. Got it on ebay, took a new contract out on Vodafone, sold the nokia n95 8gb (ugly brick) on ebay and got a iphone 16gb for £15 more, unlocked, so i used on Vodafone which has much better reception in my area, than O2.

Review of 3G iPhone Continued....

Functions
The name of the phone explains the main addition to this iPhone – 3G. This enables a much better web-browsing experience on Safari and really makes the most of the huge colour screen. It also supports the music downloads that one would expect from an Apple phone, making them faster and improving usability. It also includes new features such as GPS which can be coupled with Google maps, which is widely regarded as the best implementation of satellite navigation in the ‘smartphone’ market. However, the camera device has not been updated from the last iPhone, meaning that it still lacks zoom, flash and autofocus – functions which all of Apple’s competitors make as standard. Video calling is also missing from this phone, meaning that on the whole, though the phone delivers on a multimedia level as long as it is linked to a computer, its stand-alone visual functions like photography are a little limited at the moment – although this will no doubt change very soon.

Usability
The 3G iPhone has been marketed as an extremely user-friendly phone, and for the most part it lives up to this expectation, with the fantastic touchscreen function and most obviously the huge colour screen for ease of display. The added functions such as GPS also work extremely well and are easy to use – for example, the user only needs to type in a keyword, such as the name of a café, and the navigation system will automatically display it on Google maps. However, the usability of the camera function remains disappointing – it is still inflexible and difficult to use due to the lack of flash or zoom.

Summary
The 3G iPhone is definitely an improvement on its predecessor, with the addition of 3G enhancing the excellent screen design and music download function. While the multimedia functionality is very much in its early days the 3G iPhone is a great addition to the market and looks like being the most popular mobile phone of all time.
