What does 3G mean?
3G stands for 3rd generation. What it means practically is a very fast connection. If you think of 2G as a dial-up modem, 3G is more like broadband speeds. There is already talk of a super fast 4g service, which has been trailed, but most think that it is over 5 years away from a UK release. The first 3G network was launched in Japan in 2001 but didn't launch in the UK until 2002. 3 are the UK's largest 3G mobile network.

3G is fast so lots of new and exciting services can be provides from your 3G mobile. The original 3G service was video calling, where you could see the other person not just hear them. This didn't really take off as most people are a little embarrassed to be on camera, especially first thing in the morning. I’ve been with 3 for about 4 years. I always do a lot of research about 3g phones and i have to say that 3 offer the best range and best deals on 3g mobil. They specalise in 3g so if you think about it, it is obvious that they would be best. They are still trying to grow and get more market share, so they offer do amazing deals as loss leaders, which the other networks don’t want to try and beat.

I’ve been with threee for a number of years and have not had any real issues. I had heard bad things about them so I don’t expect much to run smoothly. However, since being with them i have ot admit that most of my issues have been dealt with very quicly. The customer service department are a great bunch, and very firendly. I think 3 molbile rock.

I have to agree with the others, three mobile offer are the best in the market. For £20 you get 1,100 mins or texts, or any combo of the two. I tried to beat that but failed, it has to be the cheap mobile price plans discounted. Plus the 3g net element of the phone means you get video calling and broadband internet on the move which is essential in this day and age. The choice of phones could be better, e.g. they dont have the iphone

It is a real shame that 3 phnes dont offer the iphone, but i want to stay with three but the iphone is so pretty i gotta get one. I love mobil phones, and always want the latest technology, but usually stay with three becuase their service is great and their prices are the best i can find.

I got a paymonthly phone from Three for my son. Overall, i have been very pleased with the 3fone, and tariff but the customer service could be better, it took 15 mins to get thrrough.

I got my 3 fone a few weeks ago. I found 3 offer cheap on line mobil, so brought the phone from their website. It came the next day so I’m pleased with my new mobilephones.
